Club Records Recognition Criteria 

Club Records Recognition Criteria


Best performances by club members at club and official outside meetings.


For the Junior Section these meetings include - Colgate Games; Athletics Auckland Children's Championships; Athletics Auckland - Auckland Regional Championships;  Intermediate Schools Auckland Championships; College Sport Auckland Secondary School Championships; North Island Secondary School Championships; New Zealand Secondary School Championships; Athletics New Zealand Interprovincial Competitions; performances where a younger grade athlete has competed with older grade athletes at an Athletics New Zealand officiated competition; and when an athlete has competed as a member of a New Zealand representative team.


For track events up to 400m, preference is given to electronically timed performances. Manually timed performances must be recorded by three timekeepers.


For field events at the club, the official event manager must stop the event competition immediately and obtain the immediate authentication of the performance from the Meeting Manager. 


For non-club meetings, a signed copy of the official field event recording sheet (or similar official documentary evidence) is required for Grades 7 - 14. 


60m, 100m, 200m, Sprint Hurdles, and Long Jump may not have wind assistance above +2.0 meters per second.

For the Senior and Masters Section these meetings include any meeting under the auspices of Athletics New Zealand, e.g., Athletics Auckland Senior meetings; Athletics Auckland Senior and Masters Championships; College Sport Auckland Secondary School Championships; North Island Secondary School Championships; New Zealand Secondary School Championships; Athletics New Zealand Interprovincial Competitions; New Zealand Masters Athletics competitions; performances where a younger athlete has competed with older athletes at an Athletics New Zealand officiated competition; and when an athlete has competed as a member of a New Zealand representative team.
